I am a German military historian and published author specializing in German military history and the life of the German soldier in wartime. In this role I acted as historical consultant for a number TV and Media productions. My first book: ‘Fritz and Tommy : Across the Barbed Wire’ was published by The History Press in October 2015. I am currently working on the memoirs of German Knight’s Cross holder Günter Halm which will be published by Frontline Books in 2017.

With my genealogical research work I have reunited families all over the world with their
soldiers, helping them to understand the military careers of their German forbears, and putting their lives into historical context.
